Mind Vines

Today, I (aggressively) pruned a grapevine.

Snipping and sawing through the entangled decay, a powerful analogy emerged…

This is my cognitive environment.

Excessive growth, scattered resources, convoluted connections… an unnatural twisting.

A multitude of biological data pathways.

Perception becomes knowledge, a neuronal photosynthesis.

Rampant expansion doesn't equal true progress.

Instead of symbiosis, we find cancer.

Perhaps then, I'll apply the same prescription.

Evisceration.

I contemplate.

As the chainsaw growls…
